Tekhaseh is Hebrew for concealing or hiding something. In the Old Testament it was used three different times as a "covering of love". The first time was when Moses had the Hebrews in Egypt paint the doors with the sacrificial lamb. The second time was when he received the commandments on top of Mount Sinai and God covered the mountain with a fog. The third time was when God flooded the earth.
I was trying to come up with a name for the painting, and a friend recommended it. It fit perfectly.
I did not really know why I chose red, but I did. After I finished it, I looked up red and found out it represents passion, power, and vitality.
